Cloruro De Calcio
Beneficio De Minerales Aurífero.
A study was realized to evaluate the influence of dust suppressant (calcium chloride) in the unit operations of benefit of minerals applied to auriferous minerals extracted from the deposits of mine Reina de Oro in the town Vetas-Santander. Test crushing
grinding
thickening and flotation ore were executed without dust suppressant to obtain results to compare later with the same test under identical parameters adding different concentrations of dust suppressant (1%
2%
4%
8% and 16% w/w). During the development of the research the free mineral reagents was characterized and subsequently with the different concentrations of dust suppressant by X-ray diffraction. The presence of a chemical substance
such as the selected dust suppressant can change the physicochemical properties in the medium and the mineral. The calcium chloride dust suppressant facilitates the production of fine particles during grinding
but when it used as densifier in the industry it do the pulp denser
decreasing the speed of thickening with increasing the concentration of dust suppressant. During the flotation process
macroscopically the size and color of the foam was not affshow a tendency linked with the presence of dust suppressant
with higher concentration fewer crystalline phases were obtained like shown in the XDR test. The appropriate application of Calcium chloride at specific points in the gold extraction process reduces the emission of PM10 without affecting the productivity of the unit operations
avoiding possible expenses on maintenance of machines or complex collector of particulate material systems
