El barrio Santa Rosa (Comuna 3) es considerado uno de los barrios más antiguos de la ciudad de Cali junto a San Antonio, La Merced y San Nicolás. Es un sector denominado como patrimonio cultural inmueble de la ciudad en el Acuerdo 0373 de 2014 del Plan de Ordenamiento Territorial (POT) de Cali. Sin embargo, al tratarse de un barrio ubicado en el centro de la ciudad, existe cierto desconocimiento de su valor patrimonial porque se hace más visible su uso comercial y su aspecto desgastado a su gran contenido histórico para la cultura local y riqueza arquitectónica. Así pues, el objetivo principal de este proyecto ha sido poner en valor la memoria de Santa Rosa con la idea de construir identidad local y reivindicar el centro de Cali. Para su desarrollo se optó por utilizar una metodología propia basada en el Diseño Centrado en las Personas (DCP), y como resultado del producto se planteó una exposición fotográfica que recopila fragmentos de la memoria de Santa Rosa. Como complemento de esta, se desarrolló una campaña de expectativa, una página web y souvenirs. |
