Este grupo fue cuidadosamente seleccionado bajo criterios específicos como tener al menos dos años de experiencia competitiva y encontrarse en etapa precompetitiva, garantizando así la representatividad en el análisis. El procedimiento incluyó dos evaluaciones principales: la medición de la Repetición Máxima (RM) y del Índice de Fuerza Reactiva (RSI). Para la primera, se utilizó el dispositivo Flex by GymAware®, una herramienta avanzada que permitió recopilar datos precisos sobre la velocidad, potencia y fuerza generadas en levantamientos olímpicos como el Snatch, Clean y Jerk. Los atletas dispusieron de tres intentos por movimiento, con incrementos progresivos en las cargas. Por otro lado, el RSI fue evaluado a través de OptoJump, un sistema óptico de alta precisión que midió la altura de los saltos y el tiempo de contacto con el suelo, específicamente en pruebas como el drop jump, donde los participantes debían realizar un rebote inmediato desde una altura de 40 cm. Todo esto se llevó a cabo siguiendo estrictos protocolos de seguridad y con un control meticuloso de la técnica, asegurando la validez de los resultados. Los análisis estadísticos arrojaron diferencias significativas entre géneros. Los hombres presentaron mayores valores absolutos en RM y RSI, con promedios de 91 kg en el Clean y 1,24 m/s en el RSI, respectivamente. Sin embargo, al ajustar estos datos al peso corporal, las mujeres demostraron correlaciones más significativas entre el RSI y el rendimiento en levantamientos. Por ejemplo, en el caso del Snatch, el coeficiente de correlación entre RSI y RM relativo al peso corporal fue mucho mayor en mujeres (r = 0.769, p = 0.001) que en hombres. Esta diferencia sugiere que el RSI es un indicador particularmente valioso para personalizar programas de entrenamiento enfocados en optimizar el rendimiento relativo en este grupo. El estudio concluyó que la incorporación de herramientas tecnológicas como Flex by GymAware y OptoJump no solo aporta precisión en la medición del rendimiento, sino que también permite identificar debilidades y diseñar intervenciones específicas. Además, se destacó que la implementación de categorías basadas en el peso corporal podría promover la equidad en competencias locales, mientras que el uso de ejercicios pliométricos como parte del entrenamiento contribuiría a mejorar el RSI y prevenir lesiones. Entre las recomendaciones, se sugirió realizar evaluaciones regulares para monitorear avances y emplear alternativas más accesibles como aplicaciones móviles para extender estas mediciones a un público más amplio.The project titled "Strength and Speed Profile in Different Categories of Cross-Training Athletes in Villavicencio" studied a sample of 32 athletes, including 18 men and 14 women, with an average age of 27 years. Participants were selected under strict criteria, such as having at least two years of competitive cross-training experience and being in a precompetitive phase, ensuring representativeness in the analysis. The methodology included two main evaluations: measuring the One-Repetition Maximum (RM) and the Reactive Strength Index (RSI). For RM, the Flex by GymAware® device was utilized, an advanced system that records precise data on barbell speed, power, and relative strength in Olympic lifts like the snatch, clean, and jerk. Athletes were given three attempts per movement, with progressive increases in load. For RSI, the OptoJump system was used, an advanced optical sensor-based tool that assesses ground contact time and jump height during exercises such as drop jumps. Each participant underwent a controlled test that began with a warm-up followed by three jump attempts from a 40-cm box to evaluate RSI. The statistical analysis revealed significant gender differences. Men presented higher absolute values in RM and RSI, with averages of 91 kg for the clean and 1.24 m/s for RSI, respectively. However, when normalized by body weight, women exhibited stronger correlations between RSI and performance in Olympic lifts. For instance, in the snatch, the correlation coefficient between RSI and body-weight-relative RM was considerably higher in women (r = 0.769, p = 0.001) compared to men. This suggests that RSI is a valuable indicator for tailoring training programs aimed at optimizing relative performance in women. The study concluded that incorporating technological tools such as Flex by GymAware and OptoJump not only provides precise performance measurements but also helps identify weaknesses and design tailored interventions. Additionally, it emphasized that implementing weight categories could promote fairness in local competitions, while the inclusion of plyometric exercises would improve RSI and injury prevention. Regular evaluations of RSI and RM were recommended to monitor progress, optimize reactive strength, and detect potential imbalances. Beyond contributing knowledge to the local field, this research establishes a valuable reference framework for the evaluation and optimization of cross-training performance.
