According to the International Energy Agency, the global stock of electric vehicles increased from less than one million in 2011 to over 25 million in 2022, representing a year-on-year increase of nearly 60% [2]. This accelerated expansion has made lithium-ion batteries critical components for multiple industrial sectors, from consumer electronics to large-scale storage systems. Despite their advantages in energy storage and efficiency, lithium-ion batteries face major challenges related to their thermal and electrical behavior. Temperature changes strongly affect how these batteries work, impacting their internal resistance, capacity, and stability [3]. Overheating can lead to accelerated degradation and even potentially safety risks like thermal runaway.
