El presente trabajo de investigación explora en profundidad las diversas razones que impulsan a los jóvenes a dejar sus países de origen en busca de nuevas oportunidades. Se establece que la migración es un fenómeno histórico y global, con un enfoque particular en la migración juvenil, que representa más del diez por ciento de los migrantes internacionales. Se fundamenta en un marco teórico que incluye la revisión de estudios previos y datos de organizaciones como la ONU y la OIT, que destacan la movilidad de los jóvenes como un fenómeno creciente. Se identifican múltiples factores que influyen en la decisión de migrar, tales como la búsqueda de mejores oportunidades laborales, la reunificación familiar, la educación, y la huida de situaciones adversas como conflictos, persecuciones, y efectos del cambio climático. Además, se discuten las tendencias globales de movilidad y cómo la globalización ha facilitado el deseo de los jóvenes de vivir y trabajar en el extranjero, adaptándose a nuevas experiencias y desafíos. El documento también incluye un análisis de entrevistas realizadas a jóvenes migrantes, proporcionando una perspectiva cualitativa sobre sus motivaciones y expectativas. Finalmente, se concluye que la migración juvenil es un fenómeno complejo que refleja las aspiraciones y valores cambiantes de esta generación, y se sugieren recomendaciones para abordar los desafíos asociados con la migración de jóvenes en el contexto actual. Este análisis integral permite comprender mejor las dinámicas de la migración juvenil y su impacto en las sociedades de origen y destino. |

It establishes that migration is a historical and global phenomenon, with a particular focus on youth migration, which represents more than ten percent of international migrants. It is based on a theoretical framework that includes the review of previous studies and data from organizations such as the UN and the ILO, which highlight youth mobility as a growing phenomenon. Multiple factors are identified that influence the decision to migrate, such as the search for better job opportunities, family reunification, education, and fleeing adverse situations such as conflict, persecution, and the effects of climate change. In addition, global mobility trends are discussed and how globalization has facilitated the desire of young people to live and work abroad, adapting to new experiences and challenges. The paper also includes an analysis of interviews conducted with young migrants, providing a qualitative perspective on their motivations and expectations. Finally, it is concluded that youth migration is a complex phenomenon that reflects the changing aspirations and values of this generation, and recommendations are suggested to address the challenges associated with youth migration in the current context.
