Es por ello que a continuación se propone un plan de administración documental que sirve como herramienta que permite gestionar de manera eficiente las actividades necesarias para lograr un buen resultado con los documentos operacionales utilizados en las diarias operaciones de las aeronaves a nivel mundial. Para ello se inicia con un breve paso a través de la historia navegando por la evolución del mundo aeronáutico haciendo un especial énfasis en el papel que ocupa la documentación en las tareas diarias de cualquier aeronave hasta lograr describir y proponer un sistema de administración documental que permita una operación aeronáutica segura.
