description El presente artículo tiene como objetivo realizar un análisis de la relación entre la logística y el transporte como estrategias corporativas para aumentar la competitividad nacional e internacional de las organizaciones. Para alcanzar los objetivos, se consideran los temas de logística y transporte desde la perspectiva teórica, y posteriormente se realiza una estudio exploratorio con personas expertas en el tema que permitan identificar la importancia de su relación; como resultado del estudio, se puede indicar que las exigencias competitivas actuales, han generado la necesidad en las organizaciones de mejorar sus sistemas logísticos y con ellos sus sistemas de transporte; en este sentido, el transporte como actividad se reconoce como uno de los agentes de mayor generación de valor y de reducción de costos convirtiéndose en una ventaja competitiva.
