| Summary: | This essay analyzes the challenges that the public Colombian administration will face in the XXI century. In order to do this, a study of the main approaches of the current situation of the Colombian society and its public administration. The objective of this study is to answer the following questions; is the public service and administration based on participatory management and administrative cohesion and are public functions focused on the service of society. There is no doubt that the contemporary public administration must assume the challenges of the current public actions that requires it to be inclusive, participative, dynamic, changing, progressive, innovative, relevant, sustainable and profitable socially. It must be a modern public administration with high quality in regards to the use and appropriation of technologies. It also must go through continuous updating of its officials to ensure the development of their competencies to be able to respond effectively to the needs of the society. According to this analysis, the Colombian public administration needs to improve significantly. |
