And this development is seen materialized future policies designed by the national government from the Constitution of 1991 gave as tools was to create an entity like the Regional Autonomous Corporation of the Rio Grande de la Magdalena CORMAGDALENA be devoted exclusively to study, plan and develop projects for the activation of the Magdalena River basin with a purpose to get to be the engine of development and integration into the world economy. |

Desde un comienzo fue dejado a la deriva y no se le dio la importancia que actualmente tiene para ser el eje integrador y de desarrollo de la economía colombiana y un modo de transporte que otra vez una el interior de nuestras regiones con los puertos del mar Caribe que son la puerta de salida al comercio exterior integrándose a un modelo de gestión pública abanderado con planes de desarrollo, con políticas económicas y sociales que le den el verdadero valor para la activación y el engranaje de los modos de transporte existentes, férreo, carretero y aéreo.
