description Con la llegada del III milenio, el planeta continúa afrontando desafíos de expansión en detrimento del medio ambiente. Preocupados por esta situación delegados de aproximadamente 220 países participantes en la Conferencia de las Naciones Unidas sobre el Cambio Climático centraron sus objetivos hacia el cumplimiento del Acuerdo de París. Desde COP1 en Berlín, Alemania en el año 1995, los acuerdos globalmente y de forma individual por parte de los países asistentes han sido refrendados en su mayoría, instaurando nuevas directrices que involucran a la sociedad civil y gobiernos en avanzar con empeño para alcanzar las metas de desarrollo, crecimiento económico y sostenibilidad ambiental para las presentes generaciones y las venideras. Ciertamente entre los sectores que vienen trabajando a su interior medidas y políticas medioambientales sostenibles es el de transporte de carga terrestre de mercancías que mediante la incorporación de un modelo de negocio busca lograr un equilibrio entre lo ecológico y lo económico en pro de disminuir las emisiones de CO2. Es así que este articulo tiene como objetivo realizar un acercamiento teórico referente al impacto que tiene la logística verde sobre los procesos del transporte de carga de mercancía para logar una disminución de la huella de carbono. En primer lugar, se dará un vistazo conceptual acerca de logística verde, para luego revisar los acercamientos que está a tenido en el transporte de carga y su impacto mediante simbiosis entre logística verde y el trasporte de carga terrestre para disminuir la huella de carbono.

Concerned about this situation, delegates from approximately 220 countries participating in the United Nations Conference on Climate Change focused their objectives on compliance with the Paris Agreement. Since COP1 in Berlin, Germany in 1995, the agreements globally and individually by the attending countries have been endorsed for the most part, establishing new guidelines that involve civil society and governments in advancing with determination to achieve the goals of development, economic growth and environmental sustainability for present and future generations. Certainly among the sectors that have been working on sustainable environmental measures and policies within them is the land freight transport of goods that, by incorporating a business model, seeks to achieve a balance between the ecological and the economic in favor of reducing carbon emissions. CO2. Thus, this article aims to carry out a theoretical approach regarding the impact that green logistics has on the processes of freight transport to achieve a reduction in the carbon footprint.
