El sistema de salud en Colombia está regulado por el Gobierno Nacional, este debe cumplir aspectos de “eficiencia, universalidad, solidaridad, integralidad, unidad y participación” (Alcaldía Bogotá, 1993). Dicho lo anterior, la ley 100 de 1993 la cual cobija el reglamento del Sistema de Salud en Colombia ha sido modificada tres veces y ha tenido como prioridad el mejoramiento de la prestación de los servicios a los usuarios. Con este ensayo se quiere demostrar que algunas EPS han presentado insuficiencias e ineficiencias en la red de operaciones y servicio de salud, esto debido a que faltan líderes con ciertas habilidades gerenciales específicas para mejorar el servicio de salud de las EPS en Colombia. Por ejemplo la falta de ética profesional podría evitar los casos de corrupción la cual produce una imagen negativa en todo el sistema. |

The health system in Colombia is regulated by the Government, it must fulfill aspects of "efficiency, universality, solidarity, integrity, unity and participation" (Mayor Bogotá, 1993). That said, the law 100 of 1993 that shelters the regulations of the Health System in Colombia has been amended three times and has had a high priority on improving the delivery of services to users. With this essay is to show that some EPS presented inadequacies and inefficiencies in network operations and health service, this due to missing leaders with specific management skills to improve the health service of the EPS in Colombia.
