En Colombia el fracturamiento hidráulico sería una técnica nueva para la explotación de YNC, sin embargo y considerando los impactos negativos al medio ambiente identificados por la comunidad internacional, tales como: contaminación de aguas superficiales y subterráneas, contaminación de suelos, contaminación atmosférica, generación de sismos, entre otros; dicha técnica podría causar daños ambientales semejantes a los mencionados e inclusive de mayor impacto, ya que el país no tiene una línea base que ofrezca conocimiento sobre la hidrogeología, neotectónica, tectónica activa, geología detallada a nivel local, identificación y caracterización de ecosistemas, de las áreas a ser intervenidas para la explotación de Hidrocarburos No Convencionales mediante la técnica del fracking. Sin embargo, el estado Colombiano ha adjudicado contratos con el objetivo de explotar dicho recurso natural, así mismo, ha estipulado normas y leyes que presentan vacíos técnicos y jurídicos, evidenciando claramente que el país no está preparado para llevar a cabo la aplicación del fracturamiento hidráulico en la extracción de YNC. |
