Description
Summary:Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) flows and the impacts on the economy of the country or region are affected in the object of analysis by those responsible for developing public policies, in Colombia there is a regulatory framework that stimulates the attraction of international investors which has been adapted to the demands of international trade. In the country, its capital Bogotá stands out as the city that received the largest amounts of FDI in the period 2008-2018 with a figure of US $ 23.000 millions, these investments come from different countries and are directed to strategic sectors of the economic structure. The results for the city are positive in terms of job creation and greater competitiveness of its companies, so it is important to continue looking for new investors to position Bogotá and Colombia as the largest recipients of FDI in Latin America.
