En el siguiente texto se analiza el contexto histórico – político que favoreció el acercamiento entre el Gobierno de Polonia y la Organización del Tratado del Atlántico Norte (OTAN). Así como los cambios militares y de relaciones exteriores que motivaron esta medida y la influencia de la Escuela de Copenhague en la construcción de un complejo de seguridad regional en Europa Oriental. Una vez finalizada la Segunda Guerra Mundial, Polonia se vio influenciada por el régimen comunista que promovía la Unión Soviética y fue un miembro importante del Pacto de Varsovia. Sin embargo, con la caída de la URSS y su alianza militar, la naciente República de Polonia, inició una serie de transformaciones en su política de seguridad y política exterior, lo cual llamó la atención de la OTAN, iniciando así una ronda de negociaciones con el fin de tener al país centroeuropeo como miembro de la organización, lográndolo en 1999. |

Así como los cambios militares y de relaciones exteriores que motivaron esta medida y la influencia de la Escuela de Copenhague en la construcción de un complejo de seguridad regional en Europa Oriental. Una vez finalizada la Segunda Guerra Mundial, Polonia se vio influenciada por el régimen comunista que promovía la Unión Soviética y fue un miembro importante del Pacto de Varsovia. As well as the military and foreign relations changes that motivated this measure and the influence of the Copenhagen School in the construction of a regional security complex in Eastern Europe. After the end of World War II, Poland was influenced by the communist regime that promoted the Soviet Union and was an important member of the Warsaw Pact.
