Summary:This essay analyzes the needs of Defence in Colombia in implementing the NATO Cataloguing to the Military Forces This means a logistics country's progress worldwide, enabling you to have some results and improvements in the implementation of logistics management in the supply chain, establishing an inter-agency process and joint provision shopping, unique coding of items with identical characteristics, ease interoperability at national and international levels, reducing duplication in inventories and equipment supplies. This cataloguing is a valuable tool for inventories control and to strengthen the interoperability of national military forces with other countries using master database catalog NATO master catalog that collects information from all participating NATO nations as each country provides data for manufacturers and trade suppliers references an item. This system has international support with defined standards and adopted by NATO countries that guarantee and standardize the operation of cataloging at national and international level.
