La expansión del territorio es un suceso espacial que cobra una mayor importancia cada día en Colombia y todo el mundo, debido al vínculo directo que existe con la afectación que se puede originar al medio ambiente y por consiguiente a la calidad de vida de las personas. Debido a esto, se ha buscado identificar y controlar este problema social a través de los Planes de Ordenamiento Territorial dispuestos para cada municipio, para este caso Ibagué, donde se expone el uso de los suelos y las zonas que presentan riesgo de amenaza por remoción en masa usados en este análisis. Para esta zona noroccidental del municipio de Ibagué se realiza la actualización poblacional mediante imágenes satelitales o de sensores pasivos para luego mediante superposición sobre los polígonos generados a partir de la cartografía existente en el Plan de Ordenamiento Territorial del municipio de Ibagué analizar el empleo del uso del suelo y la identificación del riesgo de amenaza por remoción en masa al cual se encuentran expuestos los habitantes de la zona de estudio. Con este análisis se busca conocer el impacto que tiene este crecimiento urbano sobre el desarrollo del suelo y la viabilidad que tienen estos territorios de ser habitados garantizando la calidad de vida de los habitantes. Además de dar a conocer a la comunidad los riesgos presentes en esta zona de estudio. |

Due to this, it has been sought to identify and control this social problem through the Territorial Organization Plans available for each municipality, in this case Ibagué, where the use of the land and the areas that present a risk of threat due to removal are exposed in mass used in this analysis.
