description A través de la historia el ser humano ha sentido la necesidad de protegerse, de brindar seguridad a su entorno y de esta forma contrarrestar la presencia de enemigos, además defenderse del acecho de los animales salvajes, estas situaciones de amenaza lo lleva a demarcar los límites de su caserío, estos involucra las viviendas, es así como resguarda este perímetro con trampas y barreras sencillas compuestas por troncos de árboles o las imponentes murallas, dicha necesidad de protegerse ha establecido a lo largo de la historia el desarrollo de iniciativas de implementación de controles de acceso a los distintos tipos de instalaciones; en el ámbito de la seguridad, surgen modelos de protección para una simple edificación como vivienda, hasta la más sofisticada infraestructura industrial, defensa o cárceles, es por este motivo que surgen diversas normas o sistemas de gestión para validar los controles que implementan las organizaciones.
