Description
Summary:The present paper will discuss the weak points that the public management model has had since its very beginning and how these have been portrayed and improved from different experts in scientific management. Likewise, the concept of public management as well as its politics and the programs developed by the governments will be described taking as reference three Latin American countries (Mexico, Venezuela and Colombia). Finally, the focus of public management in Bogota city will be illustrated in order to show how its government has adopted the efficiency and effectiveness as main pillars in this field, so raising their credibility in the community.
