En el presente escrito llevaremos a cabo un estudio sistemático exploratorio, donde mostraremos a partir de un análisis documental exhaustivo, de manera detallada, como la implementación de innovaciones tecnológicas en las distintas actividades realizadas en el servicio farmacéutico de una institución prestadora de servicios en salud, especialmente en las actividades de adecuación de medicamentos, seguimiento farmacoterapéutico y distribución de medicamentos, generan una serie de mejoras sustanciales en la calidad de la atención en salud de los pacientes de la institución, y como la incursión de dichas tecnologías impacta en el rendimiento financiero de la entidad a corto y mediano plazo, lo anterior descrito a partir de una recolección de datos mixta, que ilustra dichas mejoras. El papel del gerente dentro de la planeación y ejecución de metodologías que propendan dichas mejoras tecnológicas y sistemáticas es fundamental, pues la implementación de estas iniciativas en las instituciones de salud representa una serie de retos logísticos, económicos y estructurales de gran magnitud, que implican un esfuerzo superior por parte de cada una de las áreas que la componen, los cuales deben ser coordinados y ejecutados de manera precisa y detallada, para el uso adecuado de los recursos destinados a esta labor y la optimización de estos. Si bien está tarea resulta desafiante, los resultados de la implementación de este tipo de tecnologías y la innovación en los distintos procesos realizados en las instituciones de salud, suponen un mejoramiento radical de la calidad de la atención brindada y grandes beneficios económicos para la institución. |

Si bien está tarea resulta desafiante, los resultados de la implementación de este tipo de tecnologías y la innovación en los distintos procesos realizados en las instituciones de salud, suponen un mejoramiento radical de la calidad de la atención brindada y grandes beneficios económicos para la institución.In this writing we will carry out a systematic exploratory study, where we will show from an exhaustive documentary analysis, in detail, how the implementation of technological innovations in the different activities carried out in the pharmaceutical service of an institution providing health services, especially in the activities of adaptation of medicines, pharmacotherapeutic monitoring and distribution of medicines, they generate a series of substantial improvements in the quality of health care for the patients of the institution, and how the incursion of these technologies impacts on the financial performance of the entity in the short and medium term, the above describes from a mixed data collection, which illustrates these improvements. The role of the manager within the planning and execution of methodologies that promote said technological and systematic improvements is fundamental, since the implementation of these initiatives in health institutions represents a series of logistical, economic and structural challenges of great magnitude, which imply a greater effort on the part of each of the areas than the components, which must be coordinated and executed in a precise and detailed way, for the proper use of the resources allocated to this work and the optimization of these.
