Key words: agrarian reform, agriculture policy, new theories, land redistribution, trainingA través del tiempo, la agricultura ha tenido una importancia trascendental ya que ha impulsado al desarrollo y la evolución de los territorios rurales, lo anterior ha llevado a plantear nuevas teorías que permitan crear estrategias y políticas necesarias para fortalecer la agricultura, por lo tanto es necesario que los países en desarrollo como lo es Colombia, definan nuevos modelos en los cuales el agricultor comience a utilizar plenamente los pocos recursos que tienen de manera eficiente por medio de la capacitación, las reformas agrarias en Colombia sólo han consistido en la redistribución de la tierra, no se han enfocado al acceso a capacitación y educación, por lo que se ha tenido un impacto negativo sobre la calidad de vida de los beneficiarios de estas reformas.
