El transporte terrestre en Colombia empieza a afrontar una serie de retos que están determinados por los acuerdos comerciales que han sido una de las principales estrategias de internacionalización de la economía colombiana, buscando fundamentalmente la integración con el resto del mundo. Por eso, se requiere que los objetivos de la nueva política económica y social que ha planteado el gobierno, permitan generar mecanismos y herramientas que accedan a la facilitación del comercio soportado en una buena estructura de transporte. La eficiencia en función de costos, de servicios de transporte, de seguridad en la cadena de suministro, del adecuado manejo del tema ambiental y social, se deben combinar en un marco de política global y estratégica que permita ofrecer a la economía nacional las condiciones adecuadas para aumentar la competitividad en los mercados internacionales. |

Therefore, it is required that the objectives of the new economic and social policy suggested by the government, mechanisms and tools to generate accessing trade facilitation supported by a good transport structure.
