Los impactos positivos marcan la razón del proyecto, pero las negativas son una amenaza para los medio biótico, abiótico e incluso sociocultural, por tal motivo se hace necesario identificar los impactos negativos del proyecto pues de esta manera se pueden efectuar planes que busquen mitigar, reducir y en lo posible eliminar las variables que pueden causar daño al entorno. El presente proyecto busca realizar un estudio de impacto ambiental de la pavimentación vía Planadas- Gaitania Tolima, un importante sector cafetero de Colombia, rico en numerosas especies de flora y fauna y rodeado de abundantes recursos hídricos que son necesarios proteger, pero también este sector es altamente confluyente por grupos al margen de la Ley como la Guerrilla, por tal motivo se hace necesario que el proyecto sea efectuado por un grupo de Ingenieros Militares, pues poseen la integralidad necesaria para manejar este tipo de obras.
