description Debido a los diferentes procesos de captura de la información catastral tanto en la digitalización como en la grabación, los diferentes formatos de almacenamiento, modelos de datos, sistemas de referencia y la falta de personal idóneo, la información catastral se ha visto afectada de tal forma que se ha perdido no solo la calidad en los datos sino la correspondencia entre la información gráfica y alfanumérica, es por esto que es necesario hacer uso de la tecnología y de las herramientas SIG para llegar a obtener una información con mayor calidad. Es por esto, que surge la necesidad de realizar una metodología donde a partir de dichas herramientas se puedan establecer procedimientos, cruces y análisis de información que permitan identificar de una forma estandarizada las inconsistencias presentadas en las bases de datos gráficas y registrales del país.
