Dicho lo anterior, es preciso anotar que el propósito de este estudio es evaluar la afectación por actividades agropecuarias en el Páramo Guerrero ubicado al norte del departamento de Cundinamarca utilizando imágenes satelitales Landsat entre los años de 2001 y 2016. Así mismo, esta investigación pretende determinar las áreas agropecuarias existentes en la totalidad del territorio del Páramo y su evolución y/o variación a través de los años, realizando para ello una clasificación supervisada utilizando el software PCI Geomática con el fin de obtener una aproximación de las coberturas del suelo existente, especialmente en búsqueda de la identificación de cultivos transitorios localizados en la zona de estudio y respectivamente, analizar la información resultante mediante Arcmap calculando su incremento o decremento según corresponda evaluando la afectación del ecosistema de páramo.
