Este ensayo se divide en cuatro partes: en la primera parte se examina si el impacto de China es una amenaza u oportunidad para América Latina, en la segunda parte se hace una ponderación de las ventajas y desventajas de la inserción China en Latinoamérica, en la tercera se establece cómo puede América Latina contrarrestar la competencia China en la región, y, en la cuarta se dan unas conclusiones del temaThis paper seeks to establish whether the increase of comercial relations among Latin America and China are opportunities and bring equal benefits for both, or if the relationship among them is a zero sum game in which only one of the parties is gaining and the other one is losing. At the same time this essay pretends to demonstrate that China, far from being a threat is a huge opportunity for Latin America, if the region profits its competitive advantages over China and become more competitive and learn the Chinese example of reform and opening up.
