The research had an inductive-deductive and qualitative character, using the case study methodology through documentary review, semi-structured interviews and a focus group. The analysis led to triangulating the information from the different sources. The researcher communicated in Wayunaiki (the language of the Wayuu) with monolingual participants. The research, carried out in the communities of El Ahumao (Riohacha), Maracari and Garciamana (Manaure), shows that, according to its inhabitants, who are mostly already inserted in the logic of overcoming the prevailing poverty in international development policies, the implementation of the program It strengthened some of its productive activities and was respectful in its relationship with the communities. However, these were not taken into account in the conception and design of the program, nor do they now have instruments to support the sustainability of the achievements. |

La investigación tuvo un carácter inductivo-deductivo y cualitativo, empleando la metodología de estudio de caso mediante revisión documental, entrevistas semiestructuradas y grupo focal. El análisis condujo a triangular la información procedente de las distintas fuentes. La investigadora se comunicó en wayunaiki (lengua de los wayuu) con participantes monolingúe. La investigación, realizada en las comunidades El Ahumao (Riohacha), Maracari y Garciamana (Manaure), muestra que, según sus habitantes, mayoritariamente insertos ya en la lógica de superación de la pobreza prevaleciente en las políticas internacionales de desarrollo, la implementación del programa fortaleció algunas de sus actividades productivas y fue respetuosa en su relación con las comunidades.
