Summary:Between 1890 and 1946, bullfighting consolidated as an industry in Bogotá, and as a tradition for a broad sector of Colombian society. In a country that was debating about the racial problems of its population, and in which the influence of the French, British and American had grown substantially, bullfighting, and the bulls themselves, show how the Spanish reference was still an important element of being Colombian, at least for a part of the population.
