| Summary: | The purpose of this paper is to analyze the main arguments of different authors who have deepened about the type of State consolidation that has been originated as a result of two main factors: first, the articulations that prevail in the Colombian political system between the center and the regions, which structured a certain type of institutions, and second, the style of development that prevails in the country. The relevance of this discussion has its origins from the fact that the postponed reforms by the Colombian State go through the state consolidation and, in turn, these reforms are necessary conditions for achieving peace. The country requires changes and institutional reforms, which will increase fiscal resources and enable the administration and control of the territory, that have been hampered by the existing power structures between the center and the regions. |
