Este proyecto busca abordar el origen, recorrido y actualidad de la cumbia como patrimonio musical de diversas iteraciones, entendiendo su evolución rítmica, gráfica y cultural como reflejo de la constante disputa con nuestro pasado, presente y futuro, así como nuestra identidad nacional y latina de mezclas y contradicciones, todo a través de sus propias canciones y relatos. Encuentro en esta relación estrecha que tenemos con la cumbia la manera de acercar al público colombiano a la deconstrucción y construcción de su colombianidad, a cuestionarse qué conforma su identidad desde los sentires junto al género musical que nos ha acompañado a lo largo de la historia nacional. |
