Summary: | Toll plaza are physical elements belonging to the road environment, this directly affect the level of service of routes. That's why it has been sought ways to improve the level of service. In the year 2016 the Ministry of Transport, through the Instituto Nacional de Vias (Invías), published the specification for the project of a public private partnership (APP), in which 20 toll stations are going to be selected to be equipped with the technology of electronic collection vehicle (REV), through which is expected to increase the level of service of toll plaza of the country. In this study, is to observe the maximum capacity of the roads improvement to implement this system in three country toll stations. For this PTV-Vissim 9.00 simulations, were made to compare the behavior of the current route via using a lane with this payment system or two-lane. For cases with the implementation of electronic payment it was increasing the percentage of vehicle population using this medium of payment. Of the simulations, is obtained that the implementation of the system REV if has a influence positively in the maximum capacity of the toll stations, when the percentage of vehicle flow to use East middle exceed the 20%. Additionally is got that whenthe population vehicles that they use this system of payment is greater than 70% is better to use two lanes with this collection system.--Tomado del Formato de Documento de Grado. |
