En Colombia, el estudio de la soledad en este grupo aún es incipiente, por lo que se conoce poco sobre intervenciones eficaces. Metodología: Este trabajo buscó determinar qué características de las intervenciones dirigidas a reducir la percepción de soledad en estudiantes universitarios, publicadas entre 2014 y 2024, podrían estar relacionadas con su efectividad. Para ello, se realizó una revisión sistemática en tres bases de datos (APA PsycNet, Cochrane Library y PubMed), identificando diecinueve intervenciones que cumplían con los criterios de inclusión (n = 19). Resultados: Las intervenciones presenciales o mixtas, con formato grupal o mixto y centradas en la apertura de espacios de socialización, fueron las más efectivas. Conclusiones: Los resultados de la presente revisión mostraron que las intervenciones que facilitaron un mayor contacto social resultaron ser las más eficaces. Esto sugiere que promover espacios de interacción independientes de estructuras sociales preexistentes puede ser una estrategia efectiva para disminuir la percepción de soledad. Adicionalmente, se observó que técnicas como el mindfulness no parecen ser eficaces para reducir la percepción de soledad, a pesar de lo que indica parte de la literatura previa. No obstante, incluso con estos hallazgos, simplemente crear espacios de interacción no es suficiente. Es fundamental que futuras intervenciones conceptualicen sus enfoques de manera más consciente y estructurada, ya que la soledad es una problemática multidimensional que puede manifestarse en diferentes formas, cada una de las cuales requiere aproximaciones específicas.

Aunque puede afectar a cualquier persona, los estudiantes universitarios son especialmente vulnerables, al encontrarse en una etapa transicional donde las relaciones sociales son particularmente importantes y complicadas. En Colombia, el estudio de la soledad en este grupo aún es incipiente, por lo que se conoce poco sobre intervenciones eficaces. Metodología: Este trabajo buscó determinar qué características de las intervenciones dirigidas a reducir la percepción de soledad en estudiantes universitarios, publicadas entre 2014 y 2024, podrían estar relacionadas con su efectividad. Para ello, se realizó una revisión sistemática en tres bases de datos (APA PsycNet, Cochrane Library y PubMed), identificando diecinueve intervenciones que cumplían con los criterios de inclusión (n = 19). Resultados: Las intervenciones presenciales o mixtas, con formato grupal o mixto y centradas en la apertura de espacios de socialización, fueron las más efectivas. Conclusiones: Los resultados de la presente revisión mostraron que las intervenciones que facilitaron un mayor contacto social resultaron ser las más eficaces. Esto sugiere que promover espacios de interacción independientes de estructuras sociales preexistentes puede ser una estrategia efectiva para disminuir la percepción de soledad. Adicionalmente, se observó que técnicas como el mindfulness no parecen ser eficaces para reducir la percepción de soledad, a pesar de lo que indica parte de la literatura previa. No obstante, incluso con estos hallazgos, simplemente crear espacios de interacción no es suficiente.
