El proyecto “Arquitectura del Vacío: Reinventando la Cantera” de Juan Esteban Diago plantea la transformación de una cantera abandonada en el barrio Delicias del Carmen (Usaquén, Bogotá) en un espacio público integral que articule sostenibilidad, comunidad y paisaje urbano. A partir de un análisis histórico, social y territorial, el proyecto propone rehabilitar este vacío urbano mediante estrategias de diseño que incluyen la construcción de plataformas escalonadas, infraestructuras ecológicas como jardines de lluvia y zonas de bio-retención, y la incorporación de programas educativos y deportivos. La propuesta busca no solo mitigar los impactos ambientales de la explotación minera pasada, sino también recuperar la identidad colectiva del barrio, conectarlo con el entorno urbano y crear un centro comunitario activo que promueva el aprendizaje, la recreación y el bienestar social. |
