description La sociosexualidad, entendida como la disposición a involucrarse en relaciones sexuales sin compromiso, ha sido en distintos contextos, especialmente en las señales fenotípicas que la acompañan. Sin embargo, el rol del lenguaje como señal de la sociosexualidad no ha sido explorado. Es por esto que en el estudio pretendemos evaluar si el contenido verbal de los discursos es una señal detectable de la sociosexualidad. Para ello, reclutamos 253 participantes (106 hombres y 147 mujeres) que dividimos en grupos de modelos, quienes produjeron los discursos, y jueces, quienes los evaluaron. Empleamos un modelo linear mixto para el análisis de los datos, mediante el cual se halló que el género percibido y la actitud hacia la sociosexualidad tuvieron un efecto sobre el criterio de los jueces, mientras que el contenido verbal no. Este estudio propone nuevas líneas de investigación respecto a la sociosexualidad y el rol del lenguaje en las interacciones humanas.
