La artrodesis lumbar por vía anterior (ALIF, por sus siglas en inglés) es una técnica quirúrgica empleada para tratar diversas patologías de la columna lumbar, especialmente en casos de degeneración discal, espondilolistesis. Esta revisión sistemática analiza la efectividad, las indicaciones y las complicaciones asociadas con el abordaje anterior en comparación con otras técnicas de artrodesis lumbar. En el marco teórico, se destacan las ventajas del abordaje anterior, que permite una visualización directa del espacio discal y evita la manipulación de las estructuras neurales posteriores. Los resultados indican que el ALIF presenta altos índices de éxito en la fusión ósea y una mejora significativa en el alivio del dolor y la funcionalidad del paciente. Sin embargo, se señalan complicaciones potenciales, como lesiones vasculares, eyaculación retrógrada, entre otras. La discusión sugiere que, aunque el ALIF es una opción eficaz en ciertos pacientes, la selección adecuada de candidatos y la experiencia del cirujano son factores críticos para minimizar riesgos y maximizar los beneficios de esta técnica. |

Esta revisión sistemática analiza la efectividad, las indicaciones y las complicaciones asociadas con el abordaje anterior en comparación con otras técnicas de artrodesis lumbar. En el marco teórico, se destacan las ventajas del abordaje anterior, que permite una visualización directa del espacio discal y evita la manipulación de las estructuras neurales posteriores. Los resultados indican que el ALIF presenta altos índices de éxito en la fusión ósea y una mejora significativa en el alivio del dolor y la funcionalidad del paciente. Sin embargo, se señalan complicaciones potenciales, como lesiones vasculares, eyaculación retrógrada, entre otras.
