En años recientes, los videos educativos han ganado popularidad como una alternativa práctica y efectiva para intervenciones en salud. Este trabajo tuvo como objetivo diseñar y validar una herramienta para el manejo de catastrofización en pacientes programados para artroplastia de rodilla. El contenido fue desarrollado a partir de una revisión estructurada de la literatura y encuestas a expertos: anestesiólogos, especialistas en dolor y cuidados paliativos, y psicólogos con experiencia en dolor postoperatorio. La validación del contenido se realizó mediante el índice de validación de contenido (CVI) aplicado a dichos expertos. Posteriormente, se llevaron a cabo las fases de producción y postproducción del video, siguiendo recomendaciones publicadas en la literatura con respecto a carga cognitiva, atención y adherencia y aprendizaje activo. Finalmente, la herramienta fue evaluada por pacientes programados para artroplastia de rodilla.

This study aimed to design and validate a tool for managing catastrophizing in patients scheduled for knee arthroplasty. The content was developed based on a structured literature review and expert surveys, including anesthesiologists, pain and palliative care specialists, and psychologists with experience in postoperative pain.
