Altos niveles de catastrofización del dolor en pacientes sometidos a artroplastia de rodilla se asocian con peores desenlaces postoperatorios, incluyendo mayor percepción de dolor y deterioro funcional. Aunque la terapia cognitivo-conductual ha mostrado eficacia en su abordaje, sus limitaciones de accesibilidad y adherencia dificultan su implementación en el periodo preoperatorio. En años recientes, los videos educativos han ganado popularidad como una alternativa práctica y efectiva para intervenciones en salud. Este trabajo tuvo como objetivo diseñar y validar una herramienta para el manejo de catastrofización en pacientes programados para artroplastia de rodilla. El contenido fue desarrollado a partir de una revisión estructurada de la literatura y encuestas a expertos: anestesiólogos, especialistas en dolor y cuidados paliativos, y psicólogos con experiencia en dolor postoperatorio. La validación del contenido se realizó mediante el índice de validación de contenido (CVI) aplicado a dichos expertos. Posteriormente, se llevaron a cabo las fases de producción y postproducción del video, siguiendo recomendaciones publicadas en la literatura con respecto a carga cognitiva, atención y adherencia y aprendizaje activo. Finalmente, la herramienta fue evaluada por pacientes programados para artroplastia de rodilla. |

This study aimed to design and validate a tool for managing catastrophizing in patients scheduled for knee arthroplasty. The content was developed based on a structured literature review and expert surveys, including anesthesiologists, pain and palliative care specialists, and psychologists with experience in postoperative pain. Content validation was conducted using the Content Validity Index (CVI) applied by these experts. Subsequently, the production and postproduction phases of the video were carried out, following published recommendations regarding cognitive load, attention, adherence, and active learning.
