description	El presente proyecto de investigación-creación tiene como objetivo analizar, comprender y apropiar los recursos musicales de Josh Freese presentados en obras de los álbumes Mer de Noms y Thirteenth Step y adaptarlos al lenguaje interpretativo del autor a través del análisis, transcripción, apropiación con la intención de aplicar los conceptos adquiridos en un proceso creativo evidenciado en dos arreglos y una composición donde se busca reflexionar en el quehacer del baterista de rock y su rol como acompañante. Este trabajo inicia mostrando antecedentes que fueron importantes durante la investigación, se apoya en el criterio instrumental de uno de los grandes referentes baterísticos mundiales como lo es Josh Freese, a través de la transcripción y análisis se llega a reflexiones de lo que el autor comprende sobre cómo abordar el 6/8 y el 4/4 habituales en géneros del rock. Con tales insumos musicales, se llega al asentamiento de estas herramientas en los arreglos propuestos de las canciones “Back in Black” y “Shiver”, donde al cambiar la agrupación original del tema se busca reinterpretar con nuevos recursos y herramientas adquiridas las canciones.

This work begins by presenting background information that was important during the research. It is based on the instrumental criteria of one of the world's leading drummers, Josh Freese. Through transcription and analysis, the author reflects on how to approach the 6/8 and 4/4 time signatures commonly used in rock genres.
