A structured survey was applied to pharmacy and therapeutics committees of two health entities of the special regime of the Health Social Security System in the city of Bogotá, in order to determine through indicators, the state of organization, process and outcomes. The results were compared to the current regulations since 2005 and international references. Compliance in both cases was relatively low, and limitations were found in its institutional incorporation, as in the absence of comprehensive policies and strategies of formulary system to ensure the selection and control of proper use, as recommended by the World Health Organization and international experience. Further studies are needed on a national representative number of institutions to better identify the effect of the relevant regulations. |

Further studies are needed on a national representative number of institutions to better identify the effect of the relevant regulations.Se aplicó una encuesta estructurada a los comités de farmacia y terapéutica (CF and amp;T) de dos entidades del denominado régimen especial del Sistema de Seguridad Social en Salud en la ciudad de Bogotá, para determinar por medio de indicadores el estado de organización, proceso y efecto de resultados. Los resultados se compararon frente a la normativa vigente desde 2005 y a referencias internacionales. El cumplimiento en ambos casos fue relativamente bajo, y se encontraron limitaciones en su incorporación institucional, como en la ausencia integral de políticas y estrategias de sistema de formulario que garanticen la selección y el control de uso apropiado, tal como lo recomienda la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS) y las experiencias internacionales.
