description El presente estudio tuvo como propósito analizar empíricamente el efecto de la arbitrariedad y la atribución sobre el enojo, en el marco de la aproximación no mediacional y paramétrica de las emociones propuesta por Pérez-Almonacid (2019). Se diseñó una tarea experimental de provocación emocional (TPE) en la que los participantes debían lanzar una pelota hacia una cesta mediante un joystick. Las condiciones experimentales manipularon la presencia o ausencia de arbitrariedad (bloqueos consistentes o inconsistentes con la ejecución) y atribución externa (presencia o ausencia del agente de los bloqueos). Cuatro participantes fueron evaluados mediante medidas del movimiento del joystick —amplitud, aceleración y área bajo la curva (AUC)— y autorreportes emocionales basados en el modelo circumplejo de Russell. Los resultados mostraron que las manipulaciones de arbitrariedad y atribución externa modularon las respuestas vinculadas al enojo, aunque no se observaron los patrones generales predichos. A pesar de que aceleración y el AUC resultaron ser medidas más sensibles que la amplitud, pues en esta última se encontró un efecto de techo, se encontró que cuando la atribución externa y la arbitrariedad estuvieron presentes, el enojo fue mayor. Los hallazgos de los reportes verbales mostraron emociones en el cuadrante valencia negativa/activación alta, en donde se encontraban emociones como tenso y enojado. Las replicaciones para los bloques FAIL de C2 y C3 no son claras, por lo que no es concluyente que la atribución externa y la arbitrariedad tengan un efecto aislado y diferente para la provocación del enojo. Se discuten los resultados en función de diferencias en la naturaleza de la TPE con paradigmas metodológicos y experimentales previos, y se ofrecen recomendaciones para investigaciones futuras.

An experimental emotional provocation task (EPT) was designed in which participants had to throw a ball into a basket using a joystick. The experimental conditions manipulated the presence or absence of arbitrariness (consistent or inconsistent blocks with performance) and external attribution (presence or absence of the agent responsible for the blocks). Four participants were evaluated using joystick movement measures—amplitude, acceleration, and area under the curve (AUC)—and emotional self-reports based on Russell's circumplex model. The results showed that the manipulations of arbitrariness and external attribution modulated anger-related responses, although the predicted general patterns were not observed. Although acceleration and AUC proved to be more sensitive measures than amplitude, as a ceiling effect was found in the latter, it was found that when external attribution and arbitrariness were present, anger was greater. The findings from the verbal reports showed emotions in the negative valence/high activation quadrant, where emotions such as "tense" and "angry" were located. The replications for the FAIL blocks of C2 and C3 are unclear, so it is not conclusive that external attribution and arbitrariness have an isolated and different effect on the provocation of anger.
