Since a positive activity and attitude toward science predominates in the University, it has turned its attention and activity to its own field of work, i.e., education. Although the University must recognize the work that others have accomplished in pedagogical competences, it is ready to rigorously recontextualize any pedagogical discourse. RESUMEN Este artículo se escribe con el propósito de equilibrar ¡a lectura de los problemas pedagógicos. No tiene el propósito de ser omniabarcante respecto de una problemática que es bastante rica en variantes. Equilibrar la lectura significa demostrar que la UIS no devora acríticamente los discursos pedagógicos oficiales. Como predomina una actitud y actividad positiva hacia la investigación científica y tecnológica, ha Universidad ha volcado ahora esa actitud y esa actividad hacia su propio campo de desempeño, a saber, la educación. Aunque debe reconocer el trabajo de otros sobre competencias pedagógicas, está dispuesta a recontextualizar rigurosamente cualquier discurso pedagógico de ese estilo.
