La perforación direccional permitió el desarrollo de nuevos prospectos en el Campo Copa, cuenca llanos, en donde la explotación ha sido abundante, por lo que actualmente se está implementando la utilización de locaciones existentes reduciendo costos operativos y permitiendo un mayor aprovechamiento del yacimiento a navegar, incrementando la producción en más del 8% en comparación a los pozos verticales. Además, se utilizó la herramienta de geonavegación, la cual facilita un mayor control y direccionamiento a la hora de aterrizar en la arena de interés, junto con datos de registros de Gamma Ray, resistividades y la evaluación petrofísica, se reducen los posibles riesgos durante la operación y permiten un aterrizaje satisfactorio del pozo horizontal. El modelo petrofísico desarrollado en el campo a partir de la información de pozos cercanos y registros de LWD (Logging While Drilling) favoreció un mayor control de las propiedades de porosidad, saturación y permeabilidad para poder realizar una evaluación detallada cualitativa y cuantitativamente del pozo, definiendo finalmente, si las arenas del yacimiento son aptas para la explotación. Adicionalmente se contó con nuevas herramientas corridas durante la perforación, el detector de gases en superficie, Gc-Tracer y espectrometría de masas para la selección y caracterización de las mejores zonas con presencia de hidrocarburos y de agua en la zona evitando así futuros inconvenientes. |
