De esta forma y con el propósito de buscar soluciones a algunos problemas presentes en pozos horizontales de Campos Colombianos, se presenta en primera instancia la recopilación de las bases teóricas de la tecnología de ICDs y las principales problemáticas de los pozos horizontales, seguido de una sensibilidad a los parámetros de estructura de los dispositivos seleccionados y, finalmente, se muestran los resultados del estudio del efecto del completamiento con ICDs en un pozo horizontal de un campo colombiano evaluado en dos escenarios diferentes. The effect of the inflow control device completion onthe horizontal well production in a colombian field. ABSTRACT As a result of inherent troubles presented by conventional completions to horizontal wells, Inflow Control Device (ICD) technology was developed and has been successfully applied in different places around the world becoming a very attractive option when looking for solutions and getting the wells maximum performance. With the purpose of finding solutions for some problems presented by horizontal wells from Colombian fields, in the first instance, this paper exposes the theory of the ICD technology and the main problems of the horizontal wells, followed by a sensitivity to ICD’s structural parameters. Finally, it presents the results of the study of completion effect with ICDs in a Colombian horizontal well, evaluated in two different scenarios.
