description RESUMEN : El artículo analiza los principales factores que desataron la migración venezolana hacia Colombia; el factor geopolítico y el factor interno, ambos basados en las políticas llevadas a cabo por el gobierno venezolano desde inicios de la revolución bolivariana. En segundo lugar, examina las transformaciones del sistema capitalista que modifican el territorio, generan nuevos movimientos migratorios en el mundo y ponen en cuestión el ideal liberal de ciudadanía; en ese sentido, desde un enfoque transnacional, se busca dar cuenta de cómo las prácticas políticas de los migrantes aportan al entendimiento de nuevas interpretaciones de la ciudadanía, basadas en la construcción de un sujeto migrante politizado. Por último, se presentan las acciones llevadas a cabo por el gobierno colombiano en pro de construir una nueva política adaptada al nuevo contexto migratorio.
