El propósito de este trabajo es entonces el de servir como guía para la atención de las heridas traumáticas en los servicios de urgencias, evitando las posibles complicaciones inherentes a su formación y tratamiento. The evaluation and detection of these lesions which are life threatening, the restoration of function and the prevention and management of infection are fundamental elements in its treatment; each step in the attention given to an injury is focused on achieving these objectives. The purpose of this work is to serve as a guide for the attention of traumatic injuries in emergency services, so as to avoid the possible complications inherent in its formation and treatment.
