La población estudiada incluye personas diagnosticadas con cáncer en fase terminal, de la cual se selecciona una muestra representativa. Los datos se recolectan a través de entrevistas en profundidad, lo que permite obtener una comprensión detallada de las experiencias individuales. El análisis de la información se realiza mediante técnicas de codificación y categorización, lo que facilita la identificación de temas recurrentes y patrones emocionales. Se siguen estrictos criterios éticos, asegurando la confidencialidad de los participantes y obteniendo su consentimiento informado, garantizando así el respeto y la dignidad durante todo el proceso de investigación. La investigación muestra que fue crucial abordar el cáncer terminal desde las ciencias sociales y humanas, reconociendo el duelo anticipado como un proceso inevitable que comienza con el diagnóstico y requiere ajustes en las expectativas y metas de vida. En definitiva, este estudio buscó comprender las complejidades emocionales y psicológicas del cáncer terminal en la vivencia y experiencia de los participantes. |

Through a phenomenological approach, it is highlighted that terminal cancer affects both physically and emotionally, disturbing the mental health of those affected. The research adopts a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design, focused on exploring the subjective experiences of the participants. The population studied includes people diagnosed with cancer in the terminal phase, from which a representative sample is selected. Data is collected through in-depth interviews, allowing for a detailed understanding of individual experiences. The analysis of the information is carried out using coding and categorization techniques, which facilitates the identification of recurring themes and emotional patterns. Strict ethical criteria are followed, ensuring the confidentiality of the participants and obtaining their informed consent, thus guaranteeing respect and dignity throughout the research process. The research shows that it was crucial to address terminal cancer from the social and human sciences, recognizing anticipated grief as an inevitable process that begins with the diagnosis and requires adjustments in life expectations and goals.
