description RESUMEN: Esta investigación pretende describir las rutas analíticas empleadas por distintos autores estructuralistas agrarios en América Latina, para dar cuenta de la relación economía campesina-agroindustria, implicando un análisis del campesino como sujeto en tensión con su concepción tradicional y moderna. La metodología implementada en este trabajo se basa recopilación de información de fuentes teóricas, académicas y literarias, para su revisión documental desde un enfoque sociológico permitiendo un acercamiento a los planteamientos y conceptos relacionados con la economía campesina, la agroindustria y cómo se conciben en la estructura agraria. La metodología llevada a cabo permite evidenciar la evolución en los conceptos de estructura agraria y economía campesina debido a los desafíos que ha traído consigo la globalización que presiona por una modernización excluyente y una agricultura industrializada. Al mismo tiempo, pone en relieve la desigualdad en la propiedad de la tierra que ha profundizado las brechas de pobreza en las zonas rurales, enmarcada exclusión y conflictos sociales.

The methodology implemented in this work is based on the collection of information from theoretical, academic and literary sources, for a documentary review from a sociological approach allowing an approximation to the approaches and concepts related to the peasant economy, agroindustry and how they are conceived in the agrarian structure. The methodology carried out allows us to evidence the evolution in the concepts of agrarian structure and peasant economy due to the challenges brought about by globalization, which pressures for an exclusive modernization and industrialized agriculture.
