A partor de esta afirmación de Leonel Estrada, se pueden plantear por lo menos dos asuntos de especial interés al enfrentar la lectura de sus textos sobre el tema. Por una parte, se revela aquí un concepto de crítica de arte que se aparta de las visiones más comúnmente aceptadas en su época y entre los teóricos de su generación. Pero, por otra, al mismo tiempo está presente que la preocupación básica de Leonel Estrada se ubica en los terrenos de la gestión cultural y de la educación a través del arte; y, en esta dirección, es claro que se ha valido muchas veces de la palabra escrita. |

Pero, por otra, al mismo tiempo está presente que la preocupación básica de Leonel Estrada se ubica en los terrenos de la gestión cultural y de la educación a través del arte; y, en esta dirección, es claro que se ha valido muchas veces de la palabra escrita.ABSTRACT: On several occasions throughout his life, Lenonel Estrada has mainteined that he has never has the pretension of acting as an art critic of being considered one; through his writing, he has aimed rather at propagating and promoting art and, very particulary, recent esthetic trends. This statement made by Leonel Estrada makes it possible to posit art least two especially interesting topics, when facting his written texts on the subject. On the one hand, a concept of art criticism appears wich deviates from the most commonly accepted points of view of his generation ans its theoreticians.
