RESUMEN: Investigación de tipo descriptivo y diseño transversal. El objetivo fue determinar la prevalencia y los factores asociados al síndrome de burnout – SB en el personal que labora en la E.S.E. Hospital La Misericordia del municipio de Yalí, 2020. La población estuvo conformada por 35 empleados que aceptaron participar en el estudio, excluyendo practicantes y/o aprendices. Se aplicó una encuesta de variables sociodemográficas y laborales, y el cuestionario MBI. La prevalencia de SB en la población de estudio fue del 6%. No se encontraron diferencias estadísticamente significativas entre las características sociodemográficas y laborales con la presencia del SB; sin embargo, se encontró correlación entre la dimensiones agotamiento emocional y despersonalización con la presencia del SB. La comparación de los resultados es compleja de acuerdo a las diferentes escalas de medición utilizadas en otros estudios. Es importante evaluar la asociación con otros factores condicionantes para la aparición del SB, con el fin de lograr una mayor compresión e intervención del síndrome. |

The objective was to determine the prevalence and factors associated with burnout syndrome - BS in the personnel working in the E.S.E. Hospital La Misericordia of the municipality of Yalí, 2020. The population consisted of 35 employees who agreed to participate in the study, excluding practitioners and / or apprentices. A survey of sociodemographic and labor variables was applied, and the MBI questionnaire. The prevalence of BS in the study population was 6%. No statistically significant differences were found between sociodemographic and work characteristics with the presence of BS; However, a correlation was found between the dimensions of emotional exhaustion and depersonalization with the presence of BS. Comparing the results is complex according to the different measurement scales used in other studies.
