RESUMEN: Con la necesidad de fortalecer los procesos de comunicación científica de la Universidad de Antioquia, se lleva a cabo esta investigación, la cual tiene como objetivos identificar la visibilidad y el impacto de las Revistas de la Universidad en el medio científico y académico e identificar la producción científica que hace falta en el Repositorio Institucional. Respecto al primer objetivo se realizó una prueba piloto para identificar la metodología adecuada y el mecanismo de trabajo, a partir de esta, se realizó la búsqueda de la información en las fuentes seleccionadas, de allí se realizaron informes individuales para cada revista sobre su visibilidad e impacto en las fuentes y un análisis general del estado de las revistas de la Universidad frente a las mismas. Con el segundo objetivo se seleccionó una fuente de información para comparar los artículos de la Universidad de Antioquia que contenía ésta, con los encontrados en el Repositorio Institucional, cada uno de los registros se buscó, para saber si se encontraban ingresados en el mismo, permitiendo reconocer la producción científica que hacían falta y era necesaria para el ingreso a la misma. |

Regarding the first objective, a pilot test was carried out to identify the appropriate methodology and working mechanism. From this, the information was searched in the selected sources, from there individual reports were made for each magazine on their visibility and impact on the sources and a general analysis of the state of the University magazines compared to them.
