description	spa Introducción: La hospitalización de los neonatos es una experiencia crítica para las madres. El objetivo del estudio fue describir el nivel de incertidumbre de las madres migrantes. Metodología: Estudio cuantitativo descriptivo transversal, participaron 181 madres migrantes por muestreo a conveniencia. Se aplicó la escala de la incertidumbre ante la enfermedad versión padres-hijos. Se realizó análisis mediante estadística descriptiva y correlacional. Resultados: El 75,1% es ama de casa y el 13,3% tiene empleo formal. El 46.41% no tiene afiliación en salud y 41.99% tiene estatus migratorio irregular. El 56,9% no planeó su gestación. El 96,1 % realizó controles prenatales, pero de ellas el 61,9% reportó barreras de acceso. El 63,5% de los hijos presentó bajo peso al nacer y 47,5% prematuridad. El nivel de incertidumbre fue alto para el 93.92 % y mostró correlación con el tiempo de hospitalización rs= 0,151 sig 0,050 y por prueba U de Mann-Whitney con la regularización del estatus migratorio sig 0,006. Discusión: Los resultados son coherentes con otros realizados con madres de niños prematuros, sin embargo, el nivel de incertidumbre es mayor en madres migrantes, así mismo, se identificaron aspectos sociales descritos en otros estudios que pueden influir en la salud neonatal. Conclusión: el nivel de incertidumbre de las madres migrantes es predominantemente alta, lo que sumado a la falta de regulación, la alta dependencia económica y las barreras de acceso al sistema de salud puede complejizar la experiencia e incidir negativamente en los resultados de salud.

El objetivo del estudio fue describir el nivel de incertidumbre de las madres migrantes. Metodología: Estudio cuantitativo descriptivo transversal, participaron 181 madres migrantes por muestreo a conveniencia. Se aplicó la escala de la incertidumbre ante la enfermedad versión padres-hijos. Se realizó análisis mediante estadística descriptiva y correlacional. Resultados: El 75,1% es ama de casa y el 13,3% tiene empleo formal. El 46.41% no tiene afiliación en salud y 41.99% tiene estatus migratorio irregular. El 56,9% no planeó su gestación. El 96,1 % realizó controles prenatales, pero de ellas el 61,9% reportó barreras de acceso. El 63,5% de los hijos presentó bajo peso al nacer y 47,5% prematuridad. El nivel de incertidumbre fue alto para el 93.92 % y mostró correlación con el tiempo de hospitalización rs= 0,151 sig 0,050 y por prueba U de Mann-Whitney con la regularización del estatus migratorio sig 0,006. Discusión: Los resultados son coherentes con otros realizados con madres de niños prematuros, sin embargo, el nivel de incertidumbre es mayor en madres migrantes, así mismo, se identificaron aspectos sociales descritos en otros estudios que pueden influir en la salud neonatal. Conclusión: el nivel de incertidumbre de las madres migrantes es predominantemente alta, lo que sumado a la falta de regulación, la alta dependencia económica y las barreras de acceso al sistema de salud puede complejizar la experiencia e incidir negativamente en los resultados de salud.Introduction: Neonatal hospitalization is a critical experience for mothers. The aim of the study was to describe the level of uncertainty of migrant mothers. Methodology: Quantitative descriptive cross-sectional study, 181 migrant mothers participated by convenience sampling. The scale of uncertainty before the illness parent-child version was applied to migrant mothers and hospitalized newborns. Descriptive and correlational statistical analysis was performed. Results: 75.1% are housewives and 13.3% are formally employed. 46.41% had no health affiliation and 41.99% had irregular migratory status. 56.9% did not plan their gestation. 96.1% had prenatal check-ups with access barriers (61.9%). Of the children, 63.5% had low birth weight and 47.5% had prematurity. The level of uncertainty was high (93.92 %) with correlation with hospitalization time rs= 0.151 sig 0.050 and by Mann-Whitney U test it was related to migratory status sig 0.006. Discussion: The results are consistent with other studies carried out with mothers of premature infants, however, with a higher level of uncertainty reported in migrant mothers; likewise, social aspects described in other studies that may influence neonatal health were identified. Conclusion: The level of uncertainty of migrant mothers is predominantly high, added to situations such as lack of regulation, high economic dependence and barriers to access to the health system can complicate the experience and negatively affect health outcomes.
