RESUMEN : Siendo la mampostería uno de los sistemas constructivos más utilizados en Colombia, tanto a nivel estructural como no estructural, y para diferentes tipos de edificaciones, el presente trabajo se enfoca en el estudio de las patologías que presentan los diferentes tipos de muros, con sus diferentes orígenes, donde se enfatiza en la acción de las fuerzas externas, así como la resistencia de los materiales que lo componen. Una de las principales conclusiones a las que se llega, es que las fallas por fuera del plano de cada panel son las de mayor relevancia, por tratarse de su lado más débil y por la naturaleza frágil de su mecanismo de falla, lo que puede traer consecuencias catastróficas para la edificación, los bienes materiales y para la vida humana. |
